| How do I sign up to serve? |
Online (see above), via email (volunteer@beyondhorizons.org), or pick up a registration form at Horizons Community Church – 1503-157th Avenue NE, Ham Lake, MN 55304. |
| Are you helping people now? |
Yes. |
| What areas do you serve? |
Our goal is to help the areas closest to our church in Ham Lake and then move outward into surrounding communities in Anoka & Isanti counties. |
| Do you take cash donations? |
YES! We will soon have online giving capabilities, but for now please email us at brianb@beyondhorizons.org or call (763) 208-7040. |
| What if I can do something you don’t offer? |
Please fill out a servant application form and explain your special skills to us in the area at the bottom of the form and we will try to add it to our capacity to serve. |
| Do servants have to go through any special training? |
We will soon have a mandatory on-line or in-person orientation for all servants. Some areas of service require more in-depth training. We will always give you instructions before sending you out to serve. |
| How much time do I need to commit to? |
We humbly ask you to serve 4 times a year, but you may as much or as little as you desire. We will respect the frequency you select and it is always OK to say “no” if you cannot serve when asked. |
| Can I serve with others I know? |
We encourage serving in groups such as families, coworkers or small group members. For many areas of service, you would be serving in a group setting. If possible we would try to accommodate requests to serve along-side specific individuals. |
| Is Beyond Horizons insured? |
Yes. We have liability insurance coverage through Horizons Community Church. |
| Can I get expenses incurred reimbursed. |
Yes, as long as they are agreed to in substance prior to serving and you keep receipts. You can also donate any expenses incurred and receive a charitable contribution receipt. |
