Thank you all!

December 31, 2011

Dear Julie and all of the servant volunteers,

May the simple pleasures of the season be yours.

Thank you so much for all of the service and coordination you have provided to the seniors in Anoka County. You have provided service to situations that would have otherwise seemed hopeless or would have gone unserved. We are so grateful and thankful for all that you do. Truly a labor of love.

Merry Christmas,

Laura

Beyond Horizons Thank You.

December 1, 2011

Dear Julie and Service Teams:
Thank you and your teams for some recent service projects that you helped with in connection with ACCAP (Anoka County Community Action Program, Inc.). At the beginning of October, you assisted with a move for Ginger from Fridley to Moundsview. The men that helped with that move were kind and gentle with her belongings, as well as creative with how to pack them on the truck. They went above and beyond by also covering the cost of the moving van. It was a quick and “easy” move, and I know Ginger really appreciated all of that help.

More recently, Mike helped out a senior in Fridley, Sandra with a plumbing problem. He managed to reduce the stream of water that was emitting from her tub faucet to just a drip. She was very grateful for the assistance with that. He even covered the cost of some minor supplies that were needed to fix that leaky faucet.

I would like to thank your church a well for creating this great service ministry. You really are touching lives physically and spiritually. On behalf of ACCAP, we hope to work with your ministry in the future and appreciate the way you help us serve our community.

Respectfully,
Kris Moren

This Thanksgiving we are thankful for you!

To all of our servants, our clients and those who support Beyond Horizons financially the Board of Directors would like to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!!  It is absolutely AMAZING to see what God has been doing through your faithfulness!  There are so many stories from both clients and from servants whose lives have been touched by the love and kindness that has been shown in Jesus name and we look forward to sharing those stories with you more in the months to come.  So on this Thanksgiving weekend we want you to know that we are so thankful for your participation in our ministry and we look forward to partnering with you even more in the coming year to show the love of Jesus to those in need in our community.

In case you missed it, here is a link to a video that highlights one of stories we have encountered this year:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIdRmAUorYY

So for all your hard work, we want you to just imagine Jesus saying to you on this Thanksgiving . . .

“Well done my good and faithful servant!  [Matthew 25:21]  For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”  And you might say “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  And we did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?  And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?”

And the King will answer you . . .

“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these (in Anoka County) my brothers and sisters, you did it to me!”  [Matthew 25:35-40]

Thank you so much and may God bless you and your family on this Thanksgiving day!  We have so much to be grateful for!

Warmest Regards,

Brian Bovee, Julie Clarke & the Beyond Horizons Board of Directors

Thanks so much!

You guys will never know how much your help has meant to me.  You  helped me move, clean out my apartment,  get through my inspection and get my security deposit back.  You went above and beyond the move!  You have also provided me with someone to come in and do some light cleaning and change my bedding.  Then a year later I was struck with cancer and you helped me get through the worst part of that by providing me with transportation to my 33 treatments.  Every person I have been in contact with from your organization has been very caring and encouraging.  You have no idea how scary it is to be disabled and not have transportation.  I have felt a huge loss of independence and it has left me very vulnerable. You have made such a difference in my life and for that I thank you! ~ Pat

Thank you Beyond Horizons.

Hello! I can’t thank you enough for all of the help you have given my mom and Charlie. They would have been lost if God hadn’t brought you to them! They have been through a lot and they deserve to have a nice life, thank you so much for helping to make that possible! Please let me know of there is anything I can do to help your organization reach out to more people. I don’t have much I can give but I am a Nurse so maybe I could provide respite for a parent or spouse of someone with medical needs. I thank you again and thank God for bringing you to my family. God bless! ~ Heidi

Another Whiteout Opportunity!

October 6, 2011

Beyond Horizons Team:

We have a Whiteout opportunity!  Horizons Community Church is sponsoring a FMSC packing event Saturday, October 29th.  It would be pretty cool to see a BH team there to show our support for this compassion cause and help starving children around the world.  We will be supporting this event in place of our Fall Clean-up event so please join us for the 7-9pm packing time and be sure to wear your BH t-shirt!  If this time slot doesn’t work for you and/or your family please support FMSC by registering for another time slot.

You can register at http://horizonscommunitychurch.com/fmsc.

If you have not served with us yet, please join the movement and serve along side of us and we’ll give you a t-shirt!  Our goal is to show those who are not signed up to serve with us that being Jesus hands and feet in our local, national and global communities is a movement they should be a part of!

Hope to see you there and God bless you for serving with us!

ACCAP Thank You

My client is so pleased with her ramp modifications.  We had been working on getting her help for a long time with a lot of road blocks.  You have made everyone’s day!  Thanks for your ministry and all the hard work that goes into it. ~ Karen – ACCAP Senior Outreach Worker

Here’s how you can support BH while SAVING money!

September 16, 2011

God is doing some amazing things through Beyond Horizons and your support and service has been vital to the success we have achieved already!  On behalf of those we’ve served over the last 18 months, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for your support!

We wanted to make you aware of a new opportunity that we launched today that allows you to support Beyond Horizons financially.  The awesome part of this is that you don’t have to do anything that you are not doing already and you will actually benefit from participating in this program!  How is that possible you ask?  Well let me tell you!

We have partnered with a company named Cofinity to bring you tremendous local deals from which you can benefit.  If you are familiar with Groupon or Living Social this program is the same as those with one twist.  Every time you find a deal that your family can benefit from and you make a purchase, part of the proceeds from that sale goes to Beyond Horizons!!!  So, all you have to do is look for deals that your family can benefit from and make the purchase through our site, www.BHSavings.com and you will end up blessing the poor and broken in our community with the portion that goes to Beyond Horizons.

So, what are we asking of you?  It’s simple!

#1)  Sign up for these deals by clicking on this link www.BHSavings.com and following the instructions to register with your preferred email account.

#2)  Open this email account daily and review the deals to see if your family can benefit.

#3)  Make a purchase when it makes sense for your family.

#4)  Share this opportunity with others you know who could benefit from great deals and would like to help out a non-profit doing great work in their community at the same time by clicking on this link www.BHSavings.com/opt_in_invitations and filling in the requested information.

You see, the more people we have signed up to get the deals, the more likely we are to bring revenue in and so we are inviting you to share this email with as many people as you possibly can.  Remember, anyone who signs up will get only one email per day and is under no obligation to purchase anything!!!  So there is nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Thank you so much for your continued support of Beyond Horizons!  Thank you for considering signing up and sharing this program with others that you know!  We hope you find some great deals and in the process, help support Beyond Horizons once again!

God bless you!

Brian Bovee

Another in Need Blessed by BH!!

August 16, 2011

Even a 7 year old can serve in Jesus name!!!

It always blows me away how Jesus works through those who serve with BH!  I am so proud of the servants who I had the blessing to work with on a client move this past weekend.  The work was tough but very rewarding and we all left moved by how being Jesus hands and feet had impacted our client Mary.  Mary was in tears and giving out hugs to all who served even though her story still has challenges ahead.  She could not believe there were people out there who still cared . . . who loved the lonely and were willing to be there for someone who has almost no one in her life.  Mary saw the love of Jesus in the BH servants who were generous in laying down their own agendas on a Saturday afternoon to pick up Jesus agenda to love and serve the world!  God bless all of you who are serving though BH.  Words cannot express my gratitude or pride in being a small part in what you are doing!!!
